Seeing Boston heroes throw first pitch at Fenway will make your day

Only six weeks after cowboy-hat-wearing Carlos Arredondo helped rush Jeff Bauman away from the Boston Marathon after the blast that claimed both of Bauman's legs, the two heroes from the iconic photo recording that moment threw out simultaneous first pitches at Fenway Park Tuesday night before the Boston Red Sox faced the Philadelphia Phillies. Arredondo and Bauman, who helped ID the bombing suspects, have become close friends since the horrifying events of April 15. But it was Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia who ran in to give Bauman a hug after he scooped up the ceremonial pitch — which was a strike, according to Bauman.
